In a recent investigation, the French government agency Viginum has identified a network of thirteen fake news websites that were launched in 2025.
These websites have been found to promote a one-sided perspective of China, raising concerns about the influence of foreign propaganda.
The investigation established direct connections between these sites and CGTN, the state-run television channel of China.
